myinternet Limited released the first full version of SINA, a complete web based Internet management software product developed specifically for the K-12 community, in 1996.

Since that time we have been working closely with education authorities and now know that some do not need all the benefits available in this product, now known as SINA Network. As a result we have released SINA Remote which offers some of the management functions of SINA Network without Internet traffic passing through the SINA proxies.

This is particularly relevant for education authorities who:

• Manage URL (web) filtering and cost control from local servers.
• Do not have a dedicated VPN/WAN access.
• Have a proxy server on site.

Through the SINA Remote product, access is available to the SINA web based management tools to create and maintain an Internet presence for their schools.

Benefits of SINA Remote

• Access anywhere, anytime through any ISP.
• Education authority doesn’t have to maintain a web and an email server.
• The SINA management software is accessed through an Internet browser.
• Email accounts are provided for ALL users in the deployment.
• By providing access to mymail, schools reduce the risk of virus infection on their networks. (Unlike some email software, mymail does not automatically run attachments.)
• Upgrades to the software as part of the license fee, therefore you always have access to the latest version.
• Service Level Agreements are negotiated for this service that so that you know what to expect.
